Dèlica was born from the idea of delicacy,
as a design approach:

We are Selene and Valentina,
architects and founders of Dèlica.
We come from different educational and professional backgrounds,
which over time have converged into a shared design vision.

Each project is a process of research, in which the concept emerges from the ability to calibrate materiality, light, and function, giving form to coherent, specific solutions conceived to endure over time, beyond trends.

Selene Micheli graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano with a Master’s degree in Architecture of Interiors. During her studies, she began collaborating with a Milan based studio, working on projects in Italy and abroad that allowed her to engage with diverse contexts and develop a broad, structured design approach.
After several years in Milan, she returned to her hometown, where she continued collaborating with professionals and firms on architecture and interior projects. There, she joined forces with Valentina, and together they founded Dèlica Studio, a practice that unites their complementary backgrounds into a shared vision defined by a refined aesthetic, bespoke and artisanal approach, and meticulous attention to materials and detail.
Valentina Matteucci graduated in Architecture from the University of Florence, developing a solid foundation and a design approach focused on sustainable systems. After graduating, she worked with several studios, refining a minimalist approach attentive to sustainability.
Her work engages with space, materiality, and context, using design to balance aesthetics, function, and environmental awareness. She favors natural materials and artisanal craftsmanship, with careful attention to quality and tactility. She oversees the practical aspects and processes of each project, bringing to management the same design sensibility that guides the studio’s creative work.
